Oman pip Sri Lanka 3-2

Dhaka, December 3: Oman registered their second consecutive victory in the Islami Bank Men’s Junior AHF Cup beating Sri Lanka 3-2 at the Moulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Wednesday.
Oman went up ahead in the 10th minute with Salmeen al Nof Ali scoring off a penalty corner that was initiated by Imad al Hasan and stopped by Muhanna al Hasani (1-0).
Salmeen al Nof Ali put Oman on a two goal cushion in the 21st minute capitalizing another penalty corner (2-0)
Sri Lanakan skipper Shahid Kuthupdeen pulled one back for his team from a close range in the 24th minute (2-1).
However Rashid al Hosni restored the two goal lead for Oman in the 32nd minute with a field goal. (3-1).
Saminda De Costa scored the second goal for Sri Lanka in the 50th minute with a fierce angular hit (3-2).
Oman beat Thailand in their first match while Sri Lanka lost to Chinese Taipei by 4-3 goal in their previous encounter.
